Engage’s mission is to transform teaching and learning at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and beyond. The program does this by partnering with members of the campus community to explore, evaluate and disseminate methods of good practice for teaching with technology, including emerging as well as existing instructional technologies through the use of sound pedagogical approaches.
The 2010-2012 Engage Adaptation Award focuses on investigating the teaching and learning potential of using digital media assignments in UW-Madison courses. Faculty awardees and their students stepped up to the challenge to design and produce multimedia assignments that met course objectives and connected course content to larger questions, in and out of the classroom. In addition to the examples of student work exhibited here in the Digital Salon, some example projects and their evaluation results will be presented at the Teaching & Learning Symposium.
